We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Rotterdam office in the Netherlands.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The MPO team is looking for a passionate Senior Project Manager to join us in Rotterdam (Netherlands). In this role, you will guide exciting SaaS implementation projects from initiation through delivery, closure, and customer success. You'll coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams in multiple international locations and establish appropriate KPI’s and success factors for measuring project status and progress. You will manage resources assigned to fulfil requirements using MPO’s implementation methodology, lead implementation planning, control the project plan and overall execution, develop positive relationships with all project stakeholders creating a high level of customer satisfaction, and help the customer realize expected benefits. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll also help establish an organizational project management discipline and serve as an ambassador for the adoption of project management fundamentals, principles, and methodologies at MPO, as well as MPO’s partners and customers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project management for seamless solution implementations for customers
  • Optimize for customer success through in-scope, on-time, on budget delivery
  • Demonstrate project team leadership with multi-disciplinary project teams, including internal and external resources
  • Maintain a proactive and can-do approach in spotting and resolving potential risks
  • Report progress to customer steering committee and senior management team
  • Contribute in pre-sales cycles
  • Help define project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Manage a project team
  • Effective resource management and allocation
  • Manage day-to-day execution of project implementations.
  • Lead quality assurance
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate project results
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, and within scope and budget
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification processes
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Assume responsibility for the success of those customers assigned to you
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years of supply chain and software implementation experience, with 5 years of experience in a project management position for a software vendor, as well as a successful track record of implementing complex solutions for supply chain management, preferably Software as a Service;
  • University Degree or equal in Business Management or Information Technology
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience in SCM software
  • Passion for the profession

  • Proficient in Dutch and English
  • Qualification in project management (PMP/Prince) or the equivalent
  • Experienced in implementing projects using Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency in project management software tools
  • Critical and creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation experience
  • Top-of-the-line relationship management and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
