This job position is in the area of enterprise software, web applications and usage of open source applications and components. You will work in different roles during design, development and pre-sales activities and take a central place in the development team. You takes responsibility for all aspects of the software development process and report directly to the Management Team.
Responsibilities
- Design and protect the shared architecture of the MPO Supply Chain Suite.
- Based on business requirements, define functional requirements, deliver architecture and implementation of prototypes.
- Research of new ideas, new technologies and new methodologies to increase the level of innovation
- Advice on and make strategic decision on technical developments to follow as well as frameworks, methodolgies and standards.
- Manage and enhance the MPO Software Factory
- Coach and manage Software Engineers in development projects
Requirements
- University degree (MSc/PhD) with a technical background
- Broad knowledge of IT, Object Oriented design, Java (J2EE), frameworks like Hibernate, Spring and XML related technology (XSLT/XSD), databases (Oracle, MySQL), application servers (JBoss)
- Minimal 4 years experience as Java developer
- Experience with designing web based applications using UML methodology.
- Project management and coaching skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills and a positive and customer focussed attitude.
