MP Objects enables supply chain integration through an on-demand model. For this purpose the interface software components (Data Communication Engine and Message Conversion Engine) have been made available through the internet. MP Objects hosts the applications on its own server environment. Therefore, customers always use the latest version of the software, and get maximum flexibility in capacity, scalability and support. Also. security, continuity, availability and reliability are guaranteed, without investments in infrastructure, systems or applications.
Data communication takes place through any accepted standard protocol, such as AS1, AS2, HTTP(s), FTP(s) or even E-Mail. As for the message formats, MP Objects translates “any to any” (XML, EDI, Flatfile, CIDX, Excel, RosettaNet). “We have implemented most industry standards”, says Paul van Dongen, EDI expert and responsible for technology at MP Objects. “We also have a broad experience in atypical messages and mutual agreements.”
Interfaces online is the second on-demand solution that MP Objects brings to market. Almost two years of experience comes from the very successful Export Documents Online, an application that enables exporting companies to process their export documents with the Dutch Chambers of Commerce over the internet.
In the near future, MP Objects will facilitate more internet-enabled applications for supply chain management. We are working on a supply chain management portal with logistics network functions, like order management, inventory management and supply chain optimization.
