 MP Objects has its head office in the heart of Rotterdam, in the famous Groot Handelsgebouw (Trade Center Buil-ding). This business centre used to be the symbol of the post-war reconstruction of Rotterdam.
The enormous building block of 220 by 84 metres was and still is the largest business centre in the Netherlands. Rotterdam has over a century of modern architecture within just a few square kilometers. Forty buildings in the city centre, representing a hundred years of modern architecture, have been selected to take centre stage in the festive Sites & Stories programme. A wide range of events will be organized in and around these buildings. The 'Cliffhangers' project connects the 40 landmarks by purple accents. For example the Erasmus bridge, the Bijenkorf department store and the Nationale Nederlanden skyscraper have been highlighted with purple accents. The Groot Handels-gebouw is partly covered with purple foil on the windows. More information on: www.rotterdam2007.nl
