In October, the logistics competence centre in Prien (Bavaria, Germany) celebrated it’s 10th anniversary. The basic idea of the Logistik-Kompetenz-Zentrum Prien (LKZ) is to provide a fast and successful implementation of ideas for logistic services on the market.
 This goal is achieved by an intensive cooperation of science and economy within a community. The LKZ specializes on the fields of traffic and logistics, being of major importance for the future. These are the basis of almost any economic process. Through direct cooperation of science and economy, synergies are established which fasten and improve the quality of project work and provide a faster introduction of logistic and traffic services into the market. Where the original aim was to serve the Bavarian region with logistics competence, the reach of the LKZ is now extended to all the German-speaking countries, the Alps, as well as Central Europe. The LKZ includes over 20 companies with people working together on e.g. ICT solutions, simulation of workflows and traffic, logistics software programming, tourist logistic services, transalpine combined transport etc. Within the LKZ network, MP Objects is the partner, specialized in IT solutions for supply chain management, across exis-ting systems, like ERP, TMS or WMS.
