‘Maco is an independent customs service provider. We work for many exporting companies in the Netherlands and other EU member states. For our customers it is important that we deliver quality service at a competing price’, says Hans Maessen, owner and director of Maco Customs Service. With Export Documents Online (EDO) Maco can make EUR Certificates and Certificates of Origin for export shipments that are approved by the Chamber of Commerce. ‘Without EDO this service was almost impossible to provide’, says Erik Vosdellen, Customs Specialist at Maco Customs Service. ‘Bringing and collecting certificates to and from the proper offices of the Chambers of Commerce would become too expensive and time consuming. With the aid of EDO we can guarantee our customers a minimum process time, because the communication with and the approval by the Chamber of Commerce is done within minutes. If a declaration must be altered in the last minute, we still are able to do this. This gives our customer extra flexibility and increases our service’.
