Business case: EFP International - Interfaces Online |
|
E.F.P. International (E.F.P.) has been exporting vegetables and fruit since 1996. The main activity of E.F.P. is exporting fruit and vegetables to Great Britain, Ireland, the Balkans and the Middle East. The export company is responsible for buying, selling, marketing, export documentation, quality control, administration and book keeping. E.F.P. uses Navision ERP software as the backbone for their acitvities.
For the creation of export documents, E.F.P. makes use of Export Documents Online (EDO). For the automated information exchange between the ERP system and EDO system, MP Objects has implemented the Interfaces Online service. Available data in Navision automatically flows to the EDO system when export documents need to be created. The benefits of this IT solution for E.F.P. are: less manual handling, efficiency improvement, quality increase and faster services. Interfaces Online is a public Application Service from MP Objects. This Software as a Service (SaaS) is based on the Integration Modules in the MPO Supply Chain Suite.

Business Case: CEVA Logistics |
|
TMS powered by MP Objects:
CEVA Logistics serves its customers using an innovative Transport Management System, based on MP Objects technology. The TMS plans, executes and monitors in- and outbound supply chain operations for all kind of transport services such as FTL, LTL, consolidation, parcel services, or owned fleet. Special features are the integral management of complex routes (via multiple legs) and dynamic outsourcing (to multiple carriers). Besides that, the TMS supports functions for performance reporting and invoice matching. The system is used to determine the most efficient transport schedule for delivery orders, taking into account delivery algorithms and constraints, such as delivery-slot times and nominated delivery days. Delivery orders from customers are interfaced to CEVA’s TMS. If a collection or delivery appointment should be made with the customer or supplier, this restriction would be registered. Target delivery date (and time) can be adapted automatically based on the nominated delivery schedule to increase drop density and therewith lower transport costs. CEVA’s TMS is: Multiple-leg; supporting supply chains consisting of a sequence of different transport activities, such as collection, international sea/air freight and delivery leg, or an entire reverse loop, Multiple-service action; supporting management activities like cross-dock, customs, (re-)labeling or for instance repair activities, Multiple event-status; maintaining a range of statuses that an order can have during execution, to provide complete supply chain visibility. Maco Customs Services: Exporting customers benefit from EDO speed |
|
‘Maco is an independent customs service provider. We work for many exporting companies in the Netherlands and other EU member states. For our customers it is important that we deliver quality service at a competing price’, says Hans Maessen, owner and director of Maco Customs Service. With Export Documents Online (EDO) Maco can make EUR Certificates and Certificates of Origin for export shipments that are approved by the Chamber of Commerce. ‘Without EDO this service was almost impossible to provide’, says Erik Vosdellen, Customs Specialist at Maco Customs Service.
‘Bringing and collecting certificates to and from the proper offices of the Chambers of Commerce would become too expensive and time consuming. With the aid of EDO we can guarantee our customers a minimum process time, because the communication with and the approval by the Chamber of Commerce is done within minutes. If a declaration must be altered in the last minute, we still are able to do this. This gives our customer extra flexibility and increases our service’.
Hans Maessen: ‘We are so used to EDO, that most of the time we do not realize that we are using an external application and external service provider’.
